A Himalayan mouse hare (Ochotona roylei) near Chopta, next to the road from Dugalbitta. It was a shy creature, busily feeding on the wide choice of grasses and herbs in the bugiyal. It scurried into a hole when it heard voices, but came out to resume its meal when we were quiet.
